Colette ensures that DSS recruits the highest quality security professionals to deploy at client locations across our operating regions. She liaises with other members of the executive team and district managers to ensure that personnel at client locations receive all necessary support and resources from the DSS corporate organization. As Vice President, Colette oversees DSS’ expanding human resources infrastructure, creating and implementing corporate policies and procedures.
Colette joined DSS in April 2021 as Strategic Support Manager, overseeing the support of ongoing operations from DSS’ headquarters in Rockville Centre, Long Island, New York. In that role, she coordinated human resources development and management, focusing on policy development, strategic project coordination, and compliance oversight.
With more than three decades of security industry and law enforcement experience, Colette is a true security expert. She began her career at the U.S. Department of Customs and Immigration Service, where she spent more than a decade as a Special Agent. After leaving federal service, Colette held senior management positions at security services providers in the New York City metro region. Before becoming DSS Director of Human Resources, she served as DSS Strategic Support Manager.
She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminal Justice from Long Island University (LIU). She holds both New York State Armed Security and Private Investigator licenses. Colette is a member of ASIS International, the American Management Association (AMA), the Society of Human Resources Management (SHRM), and the Long Island Business Institute.
