Greg heads this DSS division focused on enhancing risk assessment and intelligence integration across our operational infrastructure, reporting directly to Senior Vice President—Operations Joe Martino.
He leads our expert team, conducting in-depth evaluations of potential threats and vulnerabilities across all client locations, assessing the associated risks and their potential impact on operations. Based on these findings, DSS formulates targeted, effective strategies to mitigate threats and reduce overall risk exposure. With this vital data, DSS is fully equipped to deliver comprehensive Risk Advisory and Vulnerability Assessment services.
Greg has decades of law enforcement and military experience. He joined the City of New York Police Department (NYPD) in 2008, rising to the role of Sergeant and serving as a supervisor with NYPD Shield, a public-private intelligence sharing and counterterrorism program that has become a model for similar programs across the United States and worldwide. DSS is a long-time partner with NYPD Shield and the Global Shield Network.
At NYPD Shield, Greg liaised with private sector security executives across the New York City metro region to identify criminal and terrorist activity and provide effective deterrence and incident response. During his time with the NYPD, he received the NYC Police Foundation’s Hemmerdinger Award for Excellence and the NYPD’s McGee Award.
Greg has spent more than two decades with the U.S. Marine Corps and Army Reserves, filling command positions at the Platoon, Detachment, and Company levels. Deployed overseas, he successfully oversaw the integration of force protection, military intelligence, communications, maneuver support, and logistics for Division and Brigade Personal Security Detachments operating in hostile areas, earning the U.S. Army’s Bronze Star.
