“DSS is always focused on being the Gold Standard of the security industry, delivering outstanding service and ensuring complete customer satisfaction.”
Mario J. Doyle
Mario founded Doyle Security Services (DSS) in 2005 with a team of security and law enforcement experts. Since then, DSS has grown into one of the nation’s premier security and life safety services providers, deploying hundreds of protection professionals for high-profile clients at sensitive, highly trafficked locations. Before founding DSS, Mario served as a senior executive with national and regional protective service organizations, developing in-depth experience in contract management, safety and physical security services, investigations, risk assessment, security operations, compliance, quality assurance, and crisis management.
In 2006, the Nassau County Police Commissioner appointed Mario to serve as the Director of the Law Enforcement Exploring program. The program provides hands-on and educational training programs for young adults on law enforcement’s purposes, mission, and objectives. The primary goals of the program are to help young adults choose a career path within law enforcement and to challenge them to become responsible citizens of their communities and our great nation.
Mario serves as the Group Vice Chair & Chair of the New York Metropolitan Area Council of TINYg (Global Terrorism Information Network). TINYg is a global counterterrorism-centric organization that is dedicated to the sharing of intelligence and information on potential global terrorist threats. TINYg’s single unifying purpose is “To maintain an up-to-date understanding of global terrorism by bringing together subject matter experts, in a trusted environment, to increase awareness of threats and to allow them to develop their capabilities to prepare and respond.”
Mario also serves on the board of The Global Shield Foundation, an organization dedicated to supporting The Global Shield Network (GSN). The GSN consists of law enforcement and intelligence agencies from around the world, which share information and intelligence and encourage collaboration with private sector partners. The GSN exponentially increases the breadth and scope of intelligence and information sharing with the primary goal of preventing crime and terrorism around the world.
Mario now serves on an important statewide council that helps oversee the security guard industry in New York. He was tapped to join the Security Guard Advisory Council (SGAC) by New York Governor Kathy Hochul and will serve as a member of the SGAC through the end of 2026.
Mandated by New York State’s Security Guard Act of 1992, the SGAC provides guidance and recommendations to New York’s Department of State Division of Licensing Services and the Division of Criminal Justice Services on matters relating to security guard training and training schools. SGAC members are selected by the Governor and must take an official Oath of Office. Appointees are subject to extensive background checks by the Governor’s Appointments Office and the New York State Police before they can assume their positions on the Council.
Mario has been active in the law enforcement and homeland security communities for over two decades. He has been recognized widely as a leader in promoting information- sharing partnerships between both law enforcement communities and private sector security practitioners.
Mario has also served in senior leadership roles at professional associations such as ASIS International and the Associated Licensed Detectives of New York State (ALDONYS). He is an active member of National Law Enforcement Associates, Inc., and the Nassau County Municipal Police Chiefs Association. He also serves as a Director of the Nassau County Police Foundation and with the Suffolk County Police Athletic League.
At its 50th Annual Golf Classic, held recently at historic Nissequogue Golf Club in Nissequogue, New York, the Suffolk County Police Athletic League (PAL) named Mario its “Man of the Year.” This prestigious award recognizes Mario’s decades-long commitment to building bridges between local communities and local law enforcement agencies and working to improve the lives of people across Long Island.
This award recognizes Mario’s dedication to the idea that business success is inextricably linked to social responsibility. Giving back to the communities we serve has been part of DSS’ corporate DNA since its founding 20 years ago. We are proud to support organizations like Suffolk PAL that make a positive impact on local communities.
